Apologies for the lack of blogs this weekend…I think it’s fair to say I don’t do blogging over the weekend! The thought of being in front of my computer, be it a MacBook Pro et all and not some awful PC, it still makes me think of work…which is not good. Not good at all.
But eager to blog and despite the fact that I have gone over my bed time, I must tell you about my Friday.
Before I embarked on a friend’s birthday party, I meandered over to Dr Russo to get my nails done.
Bear in mind this was my first time at getting falsies and prey “Why?” you might ask?
Well my actual nails were starting to loom pretty flaky and not very attractive. I cannot stand chipped polish and yeah..I also got 40% off..WOOO!
I won’t babble for too long as no doubt I shall bore you to death but the whole process took about an hour and a half, during which I was facinated by the whole procedure.
I was surprised it didn’t smell awful (maybe that’s acrylics?) like most nail places do.
The products they used on me were all OPI which I was pretty impressed with, from tips, to gel to polish.
One thing I wasn’t expecting was for the UV lamp to hurt!
The applied the gel and had me stick it under the lamp…and OW! OK maybe hurt is an exaggeration but it did hurt a tad as I wasn’t expecting it to! Only lasted a few seconds but eeeee!
I spent a fair while uming and arhhhing over what polish to go with..it was a toss up between a red or a deep dark plum and after an age I decided in ode to Dita, I went for RED.
Can’t remember the colour but it’s a matte glossy, delicious red. SMEXY!
All in all I am very very pleased with the results. I got them short so I can still type and I chose a round shape which suited me well as it’s made my fingers look slimmer
We shall see how the next few weeks go. Am hoping I can get away with infills every 3 weeks but my nails seem to grow fast.
I love my nails. They look so so pretty!
