If theres one thing that’s frustrating about a fringe (bangs to those across the pond) it would be it’s ability to never fall in place.
I am gifted with naturally straight hair but when it comes to my fringe it absolutely loves playing up with sections going all here there and everywhere.

I was kindly sent a pair of Cloud 9 micro hair straighteners just before Xmas and after a frantic “who’s got my parcel??!” episode I finally got the chance to try them and I’m mighty impressed.

The straighteners definitely live up to their name, super slim and super small, they are absolutely perfect for taming an unruly misbehaving fringe.

I love the dainty size of them as there is no fear of burning your forehead with them, which  can sometimes happen with my full sized GHDs.

Unlike the full size Cloud9s there is no heat control on this which I was a little bit disappointed in, but they heat up fast and do a fantastic job, gliding through my hair with ease thanks to the ceramic plates with special coating. I found that I didn’t have to go over the same spot again as one stroke was all my hair needed :)

What also surprised me was how effective it was at straightening the rest of my hair.
Admittedly I have very fine hair but it was very effective, quick and easy to tame my messy tresses. See photo below:

Overall I am over the moon with them and love that it comes with a super handy heat guard and travel pouch. The small compact size makes it ideal for holidays or those get ready in the office looks ;)

A little bit about Cloud 9 from their website:

We’re the founders of ghd*, and we’ve reunited with Unil Electronics, the inventors of the original ghd* iron.
Having walked away from that brand in 2006, we’re back with a styling solution that hasn’t just moved with the times, but is ahead of the times. We’ve created an iron packed with innovative technology. An iron so clever, it opens up a world of exciting new styling opportunities.

The Cloud9 Micro Straighter retails for £54.95 and is available from the Cloud 9 website here
