I love curly, wavy hair. Have done since I was a child. So much so that my mum use to fob me off with the line of “if you eat asparagus tips you will grow curly hair”. Hmmm…needless to say no matter how many veggies I chowed down, I still had poker straight locks *sigh*
Hooray for styling tools then! Enrapture is the latest hair styling brand to bring professional styling tools to the market, with the Amplify Jumbo Waver designed to help you achieve beach babe waves at home.

Using the waver is pretty straight forward, I sectioned off my hair and started from the top down. You can choose what heat setting you would like but after trial and error I found that you pretty much need it to be as high as possible to achieve the waves with relative ease (if you look at the “after photo below you will see one side has more defined waves). It does get super hot so you will need plenty of heat protection styling spray!
Here are the results from my first go:
I think with a bit more practice I should be able to achieve perfect waves, one side looks ever so slightly fuzzy! Have a peek at LaurenLovesBlog to see her results…AMAZING! Need more practice before I can achieve mermaid hair status!
One thing worth noting with this styler is that it’s quite a weighty thing, as the titanium plated (!) barrels are really quite large. Featuring three large tubes (25mm), they open like tongs and you use them horizontally along sections of your hair to get that wavy effect. The styler is also quite a large contraption so my little hands struggled a bit with the weight and size. Once you get the hang of it though it’s pretty easy. Just be careful not to burn yourself like me!

All in all I love the effect and because the barrels are so large, it takes no time to do your whole head. Much quicker than your standard curling tong or rollers and lots of volume achieved..yay!
The Enrapture Amplify Jumbo Waver is out now, priced £74.99 and is available from Boots and Argos. You can visit the Enrapture website here for more more info.
