October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Am sure everyone reading this knows someone who has had breast cancer and this post goes out to Celia Kernan, a wonderful and strong lady who fought breast cancer far too many times in her life.
According to The American Cancer Society, breast cancer is the most common cause of cancer in women, excluding skin cancer. Worldwide approximately 1.3 million cases of breast cancer will be detected each year. The chance of a woman having invasive breast cancer some time during her life is a little less than 1 in 8.
This month is all about making more people aware of breast cancer and the importance of getting your breasts checked, women should be self examining their boobies from their 20s so please lovely ladies, get checking. This website gives advice on how to do a self check. Please read it.
Each year Estee Lauder’s Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign launches a Global Landmark Illuminations Initiative, which began in 2000 and through which, more than 200 prominent landmarks are lit in bright pink lights as symbols of hope and empowerment each year.

Taking this initiative online, Estee Lauder have a fantastic Facebook campaign which starts today. By visiting the page you can take virtual action in lighting the world pink and share messages of hope and inspiration to others.
So please, please, get checking and spare a few minutes and visit the Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign Facebook page & show your support this month.
