COR – THE SOAP WITH SILVER IN IT (vampires beware!)

It’s been ages since I last used soap on my face. Let’s just say it’s pretty much the last resort for me and not one I am keen to reach for even then.

That being said, I was recently introduced to the brand Cor, who’s luxury cleansing soap contains silver (not a soap for any of the Cullen’s to use!).

With a celebrity following that includes SJP, Renee Zellweger and Jessica Biel, I was intrigued.

Unknown to me, silver has anti-bacterial properties which helps to target blemishes and the website also says sun damage, uneven skin tone and pigmentation problems.

Am not too sure how this soap can help the skin absorb more oxygen as the website states, but it also contains Chitosan, a natural fibre which targets oily T-zone conditions and balances out the skins level of oils. This is a good thing for me as my skin is exceptionally oily of late. It’s driving me insane & there have been occasions where I have been using this soap on my fringe too to reduce the oils (probably not meant for that mind you!).

The Cor soap also contains naturally derived marine Collagen known to firm and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Admittedly I was a bit dubious of using soap to cleanse my face with. I was expecting a tight, oil striping experience but was pleasantly surprised. It lathered up easily and felt quite silky and moisturising once applied to the skin.
I’ve used it quite a few times now and I’ve found that it easy washes away my makeup leaving my skin feeling fresh and clean. A little goes a long way which is a good thing as 120g full size bar comes at the luxury price of £100 (eeep!), with a sample size of 10g at a more affordable £15. Below is the travel size bar (30g for £35)

Am not too sure how effective it is at tackling blemishes but I have been enjoying using this which is something I never thought I’d say about soap. But that’s the thing…it goes that much further than traditional oil striping kinds.

I’ll be popping this in my carry on bag next month when I head to Italy. Zero risk of spillage…oh yes!
