THE £14 MISSONI JUMPER

I love a bargain. I love a bargain even more when it’s purchased at a place that should know better

Last week saw the return of some rather bitterly cold weather, and with the shops hopping themselves into Spring already, I thought I’d venture into Beyond Retro on Great Marlborough St one night after work.

Now Beyond Retro isn’t my first choice for vintage. Mostly because there is just so much to sift through, it’s really one of those stores where you have to spend a good hour rummaging through, and another half hour checking that the item you like isn’t moth bitten or sweat stained (ick!). I think it’s fair to say the quality of garments there is pretty much hit or miss.

All that aside, I had a peek and lo and behold I walked away with a fantastically warm jumper that was not only minus all the sweat & moth holes, it was also not itchy, was in my size, and also a Missoni. Triumph!
