Last week I popped down to the Marks & Spencers Beauty event where one of the many brands I was introduced to was Berdoues. A French brand of fragrances that have been around since 1902 (!), they were hands down my favourite scents of all the perfumes I sniffed that night.
I was kindly given a bottle of the Violettes de Toulouse to take home with me & it smells delicious. If you’re a parma violets kind of girl, you’ll love this. Sweet, floral & oh so girly, it’s an uncomplicated fragrance that for me is just perfect. None of this medley of complicated upper,middle & base notes…it just smells predominantly of violets & gosh I am addicted to it.
PLUS! LOOK at the pretty pretty box & bottle!
This is the more headier, more intense version of the fragrance as there is also a lighter version which may suit those who might find this particular one too sweet.
Me? I love it. LOVE it & I’m not your usual sweet & fruity fragrance wearer. There is just something quite classic about this…& oh so classy..I mean come on! Look at that old fashioned spritzer! Adorable & tres chic no?
If violets aren’t your thing fear not, Berdoues have many more different fragrances so you are bound to find one you will like. Plus they would make fantastic Xmas presents!
