Whats in my October Glossybox?

This month’s Glossy Box focuses on creating the ultimate ‘Home Spa’ experience with a 3 step day & night kit from Dermologica featuring face wash, toner & mattifying moisturiser. I love this kit & the compact size makes them perfect for travel. I’m not usually a fan of gel cleansers but this one is very gentle on my skin with no tight feeling to the skin afterwards. Everything in this kit has a very gentle citrus scent, nothing too overpowering. The kit retails for a reasonable £12& is a great introduction to the brand.

The Anatomicals scrub (75ml sample) I wasn’t so enamoured with. I think it’s the name…”Don’t just clean it woman, scrub it” & then on the back it talks about cleaning the kitchen floor…none of which I want to think about when I’m in the shower using a body scrub! As for the product itself the grapefruit scent is ok, not my favourite & it’s a very gentle scrub. I like my scrubs to feel a bit more punchy…this one is a little bit whimpy. A full size scrub is 200ml and costs £3.49.

Was also happy to see a blemish product in this month’s box! As you may know I’ve had a nightmare with blemishes of late. I’ve never heard of this brand Skinetica but I like that this one states that it’s kind to skin. Some blemish treatments can be so harsh, leaving skin flaky & peeling…yuck! There is a very light bubble bath type scent to this product (think Radox) which makes a pleasant change from the teatree & chemical combos usually associated with blemish control. Used it on a spot that popped up last week & seemed to help reduce it’s size although it wasn’t a very mean spot & didn’t linger about! A full sized Skinetica Anti-Blemish retails for £6.99 for 100ml.

I also received one fullsized makeup sample in my box too. The Yves Rocher Moisturing Cream lipstick (rrp £14.50) is a very wearable plum shade that’s great for Autumn. Not vampy in the slightest!
