Rummaged through my blusher drawer over the weekend only to discover this little beauty…
This believe it or not is what happened to my NYX cream blusher. Think I’ve had it for about 2 years & it looks like a worm has drilled its way through the blusher! Makes me sick just looking at it & its safe to say I won’t be repurchasing any of these in the future.
It’s worth noting that in the same drawer are several Stila convertible colours which I’ve had for much longer & look just fine.
It’s something I’ve noticed with many of my cheaper makeup items. I also had to throw out a Barry M bronzer that I had only had for a year after it developed a cloudy white layer on top. Same went with a topshop kohl eyeliner I had…
So yes!Makeup hoarders take note!

I owned a NYX creme blusher than the same happened to that. Only difference, i had only owned it for a couple of months.

That’s awful! I know sometimes stores keep stock for a long time so I guess it’s possible you got an older stock item but still! Have heard it’s happened to a few people so the formulation doesn’t sound particularly stable. Disappointing
WOW. Was it particularly humid or warm where they’re stored? I noticed that the convertible colors by Stila are less moist by nature (more cakey), which might explain why this happened. Also, I guess that’s why makeup like this has a 6-12 month shelf life.

Thanks for your question! I store The majority of my makeup in one of those Ikea Alex drawers. This particular cream blush was stored in the blusher drawer I have & is the only product to have done this
Have heard that its happened to other people too so not sure the formulation is great on this one.x
