V is for vintage rolls!

Hello! Hope you all had a good weekend!
It seemed like I was running round all over the place…got out & about in London visiting Portobello Rd (haven’t been in ages!), hanging out with my brother, started my 3rd sewing project (darts are HARD!) & attempted to hunt some vintage goodness at the crop of fairs that have started again but came home empty handed…boo!

You may remember at the start of the year I made a new years blog resolution which was to focus on hair. I think I’ve been doing pretty well at keeping this up; trying new products & new hairstyles especially.

One of the new styles I’ve been experimenting with is Victory Rolls. Ever since going to the Blitz Party I’ve been quietly obsessed with trying to perfect the roll to to avail…until now!

I think I’ve read & watched every tutorial out there & by far the best & easiest one I have found is by Fleur of  the fantastic blog ‘Diary of a Vintage Girl‘. She makes it look so easy!

I’ve tried the classic two rolls but think just one works best for me…see:

The hardest bit for me was rolling the curl at the right angle. At times it was frustrating but I think I manage better when I’m actually not looking in a mirror believe it or not! Best part is I can also sleep with my roll in & wake up the next morning with it still neatly in place! Yay for supposed glamorous hair!
