Is it just me or are the months whizzing by? I could have sworn I only just received my August Glossybox & next thing I know it’s already September!
Still…better late than never…on with my review
The August Glossybox focused all around travel & high flyers. I love the idea of this for a box featuring brands from around the world…!
Oceane Make-Up Remover Pen (full size) (Brazilian brand)
This is a product that has immediately made it’s way into my beauty bag. A handy little pen that contains makeup remover to help you quickly clean up any mistakes you may have made. Think smudges or wonky eyeliner both of which it works well at tackling.
Few downsides though…the nibs naturally get dirty really quickly & they are really hard! Not great for delicate areas such as around the eye!
As far as I can tell this product isn’t available in the UK yet…but I know Simple do something very similar.
2 in 1 Eyeliner & Shadow pencil – Jelly Pong Pong (full size value £10.50) (UK brand)
This product wasn’t good. The minute I opened it the actual liner came away from the wood! Not convinced on the 2 in 1 bit either as it is clearly just a chunky eyeliner. Don’t think this one is worth the retail price & tbh am a bit bored of seeing this brand in Glossybox…
Emite Make Up Eyelash Curlers (Swedish brand) £20
I was excited to see a eyelash curlers in the box as this is a beauty tool I use on a daily basis. Unfortunately I don’t think these are quality professional curlers as the brand states as they curl terribly & look cheap. I shall be sticking to my Shu Uemura’s which are the same price & are much more effective & luxe.
Tresemme Keratin Smooth (American brand) £1.49/15ml
I’ve tried this product before & I actually do find the Tresemme treatments to be quite good for the price. This one is a conditioning treatment to help moisturise your tresses.
UrbanVeda Daily Radianc Face Wash (Indian brand) sample
Unfortunately I’ve actually misplaced this product! Ooops! I popped it in an overnight bag with the intention of using it when I visited my parents & now can’t for the life of me find it!
Overall it’s an average box for August. It’s a nice introduction to new brands (from the box I’d over ever heard of Tresemme &Jelly Pong Pong). It’s just a shame that the products inside were of average quality…
(disclosure: PR sample)
